5 Reasons For Moving To Tallinn

We all know someone who has decided to move to other countries, temporarily or even permanently. But you always wonder, why? Why do people leave everything behind and drop their anchors in unknown waters, far away from their homes? Let’s take a look at some of the reasons why you may choose Estonia as your new place to move in!

1.Quality and availability of products🥦
Compared to other European countries, prices for most products in Estonia are lower than even in the Czech Republic or Latvia, not to mention France or Germany. Not expensive, but what about the quality? According to the European Food Safety Authority 2017 study, Estonia has the 2nd cleanest food in Europe. The percentage of residual pesticides in Estonian food is over two times less than the EU average (18% vs 42,1%), only bettered by our Nordic neighbours Finland.
After moving here, I almost did not change my diet — buying exactly the same products — literally in a month I felt how I was becoming healthier, this was evident both in my health and in the condition of my skin. So I can really say that the products here are what you need!

2. Study and work🎓
The three flagships of Estonian education — UT, TLÜ and TalTech provide their students with the knowledge that is in demand in the modern world.
Or maybe you already have some documents and want to work in Estonia? It can be done easily, because the unemployment rate here is one of the lowest in the world — 5.2%, and the average salary is 1300 €.
You will be surprised, but working as a taxi driver or even at McDonalds, you will receive a decent salary, because the minimum monthly salary is 550 €.

3. Developed infrastructure 🏙
Before moving to Tallinn, I was in a huge number of countries, including very developed countries such as Germany, Switzerland and the United States. But I have not yet met this. Very modern and FREE public transport. Just a huge number of shopping malls and cinemas. And due to the fact that there are less people (in comparison with a millionaire city) and Estonians got used to automate everything, the hours spent on traffic jams and queues in shops have disappeared.

4. Air🌬
Unexpected point, right? Me, as a person who has been living my whole life in the capital with almost 3 million inhabitants — Kyiv, where almost everyone has a car, I have not thought about air quality. Therefore, when I moved here, it was something in which I immediately felt a colossal difference. Estonia is covered with forests for 50% — that is why air here is simply incredible, especially if you decide to visit some places outide the city — the Botanical Garden, for example.

5. There is no language barrier for people moving from the CIS🗣
Almost every Estonian speaks at least 3–4 languages, including English and Russian.
One of the worst fears of a person who wants to move abroad will no longer scare you — the language barrier has been removed and Estonia invites you to have a visit.

Old Town is not the only one beautiful place in the city center :)
